Our Rates
Our rates are devastatingly simple.
You just phone or email us, tell us what you need and how much you would like to spend, and we'll tailor a solution exactly to your budget. If it's unrealistic, we'll tell you. And we'll also say if it's more than you need -- we'll never charge you more than our standard rates. All our clients receive the same discreet service. Our integrity with pricing is very important to us!
All our services are all-inclusive. We give you one figure, and that's it. You confirm your booking with a deposit, and pay the balance shortly before the day (for regular clients, 30 days credit is available). Around 80% of the cost of your booking goes towards the costs of the performance or the service, 10% covers the time and expertise of our music consultants, as 10% covers our company costs and reinvestment. That's it. Simple and straightforward.
"Gimme Ballpark Costs!"
It's very difficult to say how much you can expect to pay for a headline act, as it all depends on supply, demand and availability. This is true in all genres, including Classical concert agency bookings.
However for 'background music' bookings, such as hiring a string quartet or a concert pianist for a party or reception, a good rule of thumb is to base the hire on a £200 day rate for a professional musician (or £300 for exceptionally in-demand performers). Just discount from this to work out how much to expect to pay, then add 20%. A couple of hours of a string quartet would be somewhere in the region of £100-£130 per player (assuming a half-day minimum booking), so with all costs (assuming no travel) then you're looking at somewhere between £400 and £600, depending on the date, availability, popularity of the group (and of course the geography of the performance venue!).
There are creative ways around every budget. Let's say you have a very modest music budget for your wedding, and only have £300 to spend. We would suggest a string trio instead of a quartet, and possibly look into hiring talented student musicians (no less brilliant, just less experienced therefore unable to command full professional fees), in order to get you the maximum value for the level of spend you have available.
So give us a call, tell us your dreams, tell us your practicalities, and see what we can do! In most cases, you'll be pleasantly surprised by what's possible!
